Rasashastra and Bhaishjya kalpana

Introduction:

Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishjya kalpana deals with preparation and application of Ayurveda medicines. Ayurveda has two kinds of medicines, Rasaaushadhi’s and Kasthaushadhi’s.

Rasaaushadhi’s are prepared with mercuery, metals , minerals, animal byproduct’s etc and the science is called rasashastra. Rasaushadhi user for well being of mankind is called as rasvaidya.

Kasthaushadhi’s are prepared mainly with medicinal herbs, Ghrita ,Taila etc .,and the science is called as Bhaishjya Kalpana.

Infrastructure:
Department is ornamented with charts, models and specimens.
Dept. is equipped with advanced instruments and equipments for preparation and quality assessment of medicines.

Well maintained departmental library with all classical and authenticated text books.
