Kayachikitsa

Introduction:

Department of Kayachikitsa is backbone of clinical teaching and hospital care concerned with patient care in the area of Ayurved therapeutic and academics. The same is status in LBVK. The Department has always taken major share of patient care in associated hospital and at the same time has achieved excellent academic results. The department is essentially concerned with the scientific teaching of Ayurveda for students, patient care and research activities.

Kayachikitsa department is well equipped with Pathology lab, X – ray , Ultrasound &E.C.G.

The main focus of this department is to make the student aware regarding the fundamental of diagnosis and treatment, approaches to the treatment of various diseases and to make the student familiar with the various modern tools and techniques of investigations and latest ultramodern information regarding the general life saving procedures in emergency and intensive management. The knowledge of ancient principles of longevity of Ayurveda in regard to the basic treatment modalities especially the medicinal approach in the treatment, the Rasayana or the rejenuation concept are also taught during the course.
